Wim Jonkman
Wim Jonkman’s stone prints are characterized by narrative imagery with a penchant for deconstruction. A visual joust of pushing away and connecting within a multiple perspective, making his work open to multiple explanations.
His Motto is “embrace the riddle”
The viewer is expected to make their own choices from the discon-tinuous layers of imagesto relate to what theyare looking at in a comprehensible way. Stone printing is for him te technique par excellence, to give form to his graphic concepts. The innumerable expressive possibilities and artistic adventure, coupled with te strict laws of lithography, do the rest.
